Learn how to do the Toe Kick Hacky Sack Trick.
Toe Kick Hacky-Sack TrickIn this video I am going to teach you how to do the Toe Kick, which looks like this.
As you can see, this is a little bit different than the Inside and Outside Kick that you have already learned. It is straight out in front of you, which it doesn’t necessarily have to be, but you are stretching your leg out and kicking with the toe. When you do this, what you want to do is stretch your foot out, pointing your toe. As the hacky sack is going to hit you are going to pull your foot back really quickly and sharp giving it a little kick. That will take the hacky sack from traveling away from you and bring it back towards yourself or even change the direction to going straight up, which is exactly what you want it to do.
When you do that it looks like this. You can see how the foot bag came right back towards me. That makes this kick a great recovery technique. If you are right in the middle of playing hacky sack and the foot bag starts to go away from you, you can use this to kick it right back into your zone so you have control again.
There is a second way that you can do the Toe Kick. That is to bring your leg up, bent, and you want to hold your foot nice and flat and kick just with the toe. You can do this just by lifting your leg. This time it is not in the foot, but just in the leg. Just like that. That adds a little bit of variety to how you are doing the kick and it makes it a lot of fun.
Once you’ve got those 2 methods down and you have played around with it a little bit, you are ready to start practicing getting consistent. You can do that with either version of the toe kick. The best thing is to just practice the exercise of just doing right leg left leg, right leg left leg, just switching on and off. If you want to do that, it looks like this.
You can see that in the midst of doing that I actually switched from doing one type of toe kick to another, which is totally fine. Once you have that down and are feeling comfortable with the Toe Kick, the best thing you can do is start to mix your kicks together. Not even really necessarily worry about drills, you can make up your own drills or combinations you want to do. Or just play around freestyle, which means you get the hacky sack moving, start kicking the foot bag with different types of kicks, and just have a ton of fun.
Once you have all that, that is how you do the Toe Kick.
There are no hacky-sack tricks you need to know before learning this trick with your hacky-sack.
