Space Walk Kendama TrickIn this video, we’re going to be teaching you the kendama trick known as Space Walk. It looks like this.
In order to do this trick, you want to know the trick Airplane. It is very vital to this trick, so if you don’t know that check out the video we did on that earlier.
To start the trick, hold the ken in your dominant hand and the tama in your non-dominant hand. Then your going to drop the tama and it’s going to swing to the other side of your body and this is going to create that first perpetual motion to let go of the ken from your dominant hand and you’ll toss it up like that.
After you let go of the ken you want to wait for the tama to reach its highest point and you want to reach out for it. When you grab it, you want to grab it with your palm facing outwards and you want the string to go in between your fingers. For me, it’s most comfortable in between my middle finger and my ring finger. The tama is up here, you reach out for it like this and when you grab it it makes it so the hole of the tama is facing upwards. If you’re just to grab it like this, you turn your hand back over to finish the trick it’s going to be very difficult to land the ken into the hole.
You’re going to toss it up, grab it, and right when the ken is swinging down you really want to bend your knees very drastically because this is going to soften the trick and it’s going to make the ken swing a little bit slower so then you can start the trick Airplane. When it’s coming down you really bend your knees and you’re going to pull back and it’s going to land in the tama.
That is how you Space Walk.
