Carousel Kendama Trick
In this video we are going to be teaching you the trick Carousel. It looks like this.

Now in order to do this trick, you are going to need to know how to Hurricane. If you don’t know how to do that, make sure you check our that video and learn all those tips.

So to start off, you’re going to start off in your Hurricane grip where the tama is in line with the sarado. You really want to make sure that you are pinching with your thumb and your index finger on the string right here. You want to pinch hard because if you’re not pinching you’re going to run the risk of letting go of the kendama and it might fly away and hit a wall or something, and you don’t want to do that.

Your going to start off just like Hurricane. You’re going to take the tama and it’s going to go above your forearm and below only this time when the tama is going beneath your forearm you’re going to let go with all three fingers so you’re just pinching between your index and your thumb. You’re also going to twist your wrist really hard and that’s going to give the whole piece enough momentum to spin so that the tama and ken are going to be spinning opposite of each other. It’s also going to give them enough power to be spinning flat and horizontal against the ground.

If you don’t give it that extra little twist and you just lightly do it like this, you can see that they’re not spinning very fast. They’re also hangning very far down and will also sway like this and clack against each other. It does not make the trick look very good like that.

Make sure you practice really twisting your wrist and letting go with the three fingers because you don’t want it to wrap around your finger like this because it might hurt a little bit and you can’t get out of it as easily. You can also practice this trick by just doing your Hurricanes and when the tama is above your forearm and going below, that’s when you’re going to let go and you’re going to twist, like this.

And that is how you do the trick Carousel.
