Handcuff Kendama TrickIn this video, we are going to be learning the trick known as Handcuff. It looks like this:
Now, in order to do this trick, you are going to start off by letting the tama hang down. You are going to put your wrist out of your non dominant arm. Then you are going to take the tama. Swing it underneath your wrist. It is going to land over the spike like this. Then from here, what you are going to want to do, is you want to take the tama and you are actually going to place it over your non dominant wrist. During this step, you want to make sure you keep the spike pointing upwards. That way the formation on the spike does not fall off. From here you will see that the string is very tight. What you can do is actually use the serato to rest on top of your wrist or arm. When you let go, it will not fall off. Then, to end the trick, you will simply re-grab the ken. You are going to lift your arm up to about shoulder height or a little bit higher. Then when you use your knees to catch it, you want to pop up a little bit and as you are pulling the ken down, lift your arm up just a little bit so the tama stays suspended in the air just long enough for your to bring the ken down underneath and land in the spike. And that is handcuff.
