Dragon Dance Kendama Trick
Learn the kendama trick Dragon Dance
Dragon Dance Kendama TrickIn this video we are going to be teaching you the Kendama trick known as Dragon Dance. It looks like this.
Now, in order to do this trick, we are going to need to know how to do Stunt Plane, Base Cup Trade Lighthouse and Juggle. So if you do not know those tricks you really want to make sure you have those mastered because we are going to be doing modifications on those tricks to make this trick possible. So to start off, you are going to do a juggle, but instead of catching the ken at the base of the ken like this you are actually going to juggle, you want to catch it on the small cup like this so that way it makes the transition to the next part a lot easier. So, what you are going to do here is you are going to put your index finger on the point of the spike and then you are going to hold that there and you are going to point the spike downwards and land the tama on the base cup.
From right here, this is the hardest part of the trick you are going to bend your knees and you are going to let the spike balance on your index finger like this and so practice balancing it like this first before you start doing the trick because it does take a little bit of practice to keep it balanced like this. Once you are here you are going to give the small cup a small tap so it rotates and the Dragon Dances like that and then from here we are going to do our Base Cup Trade Lighthouse by bending our knees up pushing forward a little bit on the ken and causing the ken to go on top of the tama into a lighthouse like this.
So once you get right here, you are going to do a Stunt Plane out of this lighthouse, so what you want to do is you want to bend your knees to pop the ken straight up so the spike stays upwards you are going to bring the tama underneath and onto the spike like you do in Stunt Plane, pop it up and spike it. That is how you do the Dragon Dance.
There are no kendama tricks you need to know before learning this trick with your kendama.
