Bird Over the Valley Kendama TrickIn this video we’re going to be learning the trick known as Bird Over the Valley. It looks like this.
In order to do this trick you need to know two essential tricks: Bird and Nightingale. If you don’t know those tricks make sure you go back to our previous videos and check those out.
To start off this trick you’re going to start off by doing the trick Bird. You’re going to ball the tama up and land on the big cup, like this, with the spike slightly leaning away from you so that you can balance the tama on the big cup. Then you are going to have to transition into the trick Nightingale.
To do this, you’re going to bend your knees and you’re going to pop the tama up so that the hole stays down and the tama doesn’t move. During that transition, you’re going to slide the ken towards your, and you’re going to tilt the ken facing towards you. Just like how you balance it in Nightingale, as we learned in the previous video.
That way it is balancing like this. To end the trick, you end it the same way you end Nightingale by bending your knees and popping the tama straight up and sliding the ken underneath the tama and landing on the spike.
And that is how you do Bird Over the Valley.
