Blind Stare Yoyo Trick Core
Left Handed?
Learn Zac Rubino’s 4A grind to whip catch, the Blind Stare.
Blind Stare Yoyo TrickThis is the Blind Stare, and this is how you do it:
So, we are going to start this trick in a finger grind. We are going to extend our arm so it can roll up our arm. Once it gets to about the meat on your forearm, you are going to move your arm slightly back so it will drop off and land behind your back.
For the whip, you are going to want to pop the yoyo off the string, and into the air, and you are going to want to whip behind your back. You are not going to want to bring your hand in a circular motion, but you are going to want to bring your hand up and back down, stopping near your side. This will open the string as wide as possible, and it will allow you to whip the string under the yoyo.
There are a few more things that will help you with this trick. First you want to make sure that you are using a new string so that you do not have any problems with string tension. Second, you are going to make sure that you do not roll the yoyo over your shoulder, because that will make you overshoot the whip. Also, you are going to whip the yoyo with the string coming off your pinky, so you can do a one-handed bind across your body. To really sell this trick, you are going to want to find the closest person, and stare them directly in the eyes, until you do the bind. And that is the Blind Stare.
