Manufacturer's Description of The BatTisai Yoyo

After finishing up with the Inception project, Celen and I immediately knew we wanted to create our first titanium yoyo.

Going through all our collection, we wanted to make a yoyo that was unique in shape and play. We went through so many yoyos that night until we stumbled upon one of my Vs Newton Yoyo Concepts (VsNYYC) Battosai.

The shape was unique, but if we chose this yoyo, we would have to make a few changes to the design to make it more suitable with the current yoyo meta. Once we threw it a few times, it was clear that this was the yoyo we wanted to make.

We had seen the huge success the Ti-Vayder from Coding Horror was and VsNYYC being one of our favorite companies and decided to go ahead with the project.

The first thing we did was contact Heath, the original owner of VsNYYC and asked for his permission to use the yoyo design. Once we got the okay from him, we contacted Patrick Dressel of Dressel Designs and asked what he thought.

He suggested making a few adjustments to the gap width and tweaking the diameter and width just a bit. He also asked if maybe Heath still had the original CAD files from the Battosai, which unfortunately for Patrick he did not.

After this, Patrick went to work trying to recreate the BatTisai as close as possible to the original but tweaking a few components to suit today’s playstyle. We sent him multiple pictures of the original Battosai so he could recreate it as close as possible.

Once he finished the final render, he sent the CAD file over to us and we sent it off to the manufacturer.

As always, we were desperately waiting for word from our manufacturer, until they finally reached out that the prototypes had been done. Once we received the prototypes, it was love at first sight or should I say throw.

From that first throw on, we knew we had something special in our hands.

The BatTisai played even better than the original. It was more powerful and had a much more solid feel to it. The wider gap made it easy to land any trick thrown at it and the size is perfect to just put in your pocket and go.

We immediately told our manufacturer to start on a limited production run.

After contacting the manufacturer for the production, we immediately had to contact a well-known artist that has done artwork for other yoyo projects, Luis Atilano, also known as ATILA.

We went on his Instagram page and just loved all his artwork, especially the artwork he has done within the yoyo community. We explained to him what we wanted and were looking for and he delivered in a HUGE way!

Working with him was such a great experience and pleasure that we may have him do the artwork for our future releases!

We are so happy on how this project turned out and can’t wait for you guys to try it out! We wouldn’t be here without all your support.
