Keymaker Whip Yoyo Trick
In this video, I am going to teach you how to do the trick Keymaker Whip. It looks like this:

Just like that. Now to do this trick, you want to make sure that you know how to do a 1.5 mount, as well as your Keychain. It is also helpful if you learn how to do one of your basic whips like an Iron Whip or a Jade Whip, those will provide a good base for doing the whip part of the trick.

To start off, what you are going to do is get into your 1.5 mount like so. You will notice that I have got my thumb really close. This is so that when I take my opposite index finger out, the string falls, and you see how it wraps all the way around my thumb. Then I can spread it apart, making a gun. That keeps the strings pretty separate. Then I can let the yoyo come up and I am going to push down on that back string. So I will show you that again. That is a pretty important part. You want to get nice and smooth, bring that index finger to the back string. Push down and that lets the yoyo come out. From here, you can take your thumb and pinch the string. Then you are going to continue that momentum, let the yoyo swing around and let it pull the string. What you will see is that you have these two strings. You are going to let that first one come into the gap of the yoyo. Then you are going to release your pinch. That lets it fall. Now, from here, you are actually in a repeater in this position. So you can actually take the yoyo and throw it around the outside. Leave your thumb in like that, and it will help. You can get back into it. Throw that yoyo around and practice again. You can do it as many times as you would like.

Some of the tips that we have for you are, first, this is a slack trick. So you want to make sure that you do not have any tension in your string. If you do, be sure to get that out. That will allow you to do the trick easier. The second, and most important thing is you have to watch how your wrist is positioned. So as you are going to the whip part of the trick, it comes around. You will notice that if my wrist is twisted really far around, that lines the string up, which is wrong. If you twist it too far to this way, it will cause the strings to twist, and line up incorrectly. So you want to make sure that you line the wrist up in a such a way as if your index finger is pointing directly away from you. Just like this. The back of your hand is towards your opposite hand. Like that you will find that will line the strings up pretty well. If I throw around, you will see that when I am like that, it really lines the strings up into the gap of the yoyo. To end, what you can do is just get out by getting your trapeze, or I like to stick my opposite index finger in and perform a ripcord. That sets me up to be able to do a bind. That is all the tips that we have for you. So, practice it, get it down, and that is how you do the trick Keymaker Whip.

Once you are here, you are ready to end the trick, you can just get out by doing a trapeze, or what I like to do is stick my opposite index finger in and… apparently not do a ripcord? What in the world?
