Branding Yoyo Trick Core

Branding Yoyo TrickThis trick is called Branding, it looks like this.

To do this trick you are going to start by getting into a One-and-a-Half mount. You are going to take your yoyo index finger, and just hook it inward. Let that string fall right off. Just leave your index finger hooked like that. Now you are going to lift the yoyo behind this back string. Just like that. Finger still hooked. From here you are going to take your non-yoyo hand, and actually do a full twist with it. Swing the yoyo to the right, and land on this back top string.

This last part all you are going to do is bounce the yoyo up into this top string and over your right hand, and at the same time you are going to unhook your right hand. Bring it up, and then you will unhook.

From here, this last part, it is kind of the hardest part, you are just going to throw the string to the left, swing the yoyo around and try to get your finger back in. You are basically just doing a Suicide. Like I said that last part is really the hardest part of the trick. There are some tips that will help you be able to do it. One thing that I usually like to do is, rather than, in a Suicide, you just try to stick your finger way out in the loop, I find it is easier if you bring your non-yoyo hand next to your yoyo hand and then pull out, and that will almost guarantee that you always get right in the loop.

The other thing is, you will find that as you are in that part of the trick, you really need to get some momentum by moving your right hand, or your yoyo hand, that will help. If you take your non-yoyo hand and actually throw the string around, that helps you get just enough momentum to really get it around, it helps to open up that loop.

That’s the whole trick. One of the other things that is neat about it is you end in a One-and-a-Half mount, if you want to, you can actually do the trick a couple of times as a repeater.
