The iYoYo iCEBREAKER Yoyo is a machined polycarbonate offstring yoyo made for someone looking for a competition level offstring yoyo at an affordable cost. The iCEBREAKER has astounded us with its versatility and play.

The iCEBREAKER Yoyo is made from machined polycarbonate plastic, where as most high end offs string yoyos are made of delrin plastic. Polycarbonate has distinct advantages over delrin or POM. Polycarbonate is super impact resistant, making it a wonderful choice of material for an offstring yoyo that must stand up to repeated drops. The iCEBREAKER has an impressively sturdy design with a wide, thick aluminum center that gives it a wonderfully solid presence.

The iCEBREAKER has a comfortable shape that is reminiscent of other iYoyo models with a pronounced step right off of the bearing. This low diameter step off the bearing makes the iCEBREAKER super good at long and accurate finger grinds, the most common type of offstring grind trick. From this step the rest of the profile moves outward, providing a nice wide area to catch the string in.

The inner cup of the iCEBREAKER is stupendous in it’s ability to fingerspin. The machined polycarbonate body of the yoyo easily moves your finger into the center aluminum finger spin dimple, enabling by far the easiest – and longest- off string finger spins we’ve ever seen.

When it comes to how the iCEBREAKER moves on the string, it has an overall light feeling. Where as other large offstring yoyos can feel a little slow and sluggish, the iCEBREAKER is perfectly happy to move as quickly as you would like it to. This feeling of dexterity obviously makes it an excellent choice for offstring competition, and also makes long regeneration combos and open string catches less fatiguing. This makes the iCEBREAKER a wise choice for both practicing for and competing at a yoyo contest.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the iCEBREAKER. With this yoyo, the whole YoYoTricks.com team was able to hit offstring tricks we usually couldn’t. Few offstring yoyos really set them apart from the competition, but the iCEBREAKER measures up in every way, and is sure to affect the entire offstring yoyo market moving forward.
