Learn the Slipstick Kendama Trick.

Slipstick Kendama Trick
This trick is called Slipstick, and it looks like this.

Just like that. Before you start this trick you want to make sure you know Pull Spike and that you have that down really well, because the way you start off this trick is just like Pull Spike, and you really want to make sure that you have the technique down so that you are using just your knees and when you pull up the hole in the tama stays pointing straight down. Then what you are going to do, is you are going to hold the ken horizontal like this and just land the tama on top of the spike. You can see right here, where the serado is, it curves, and that makes a nice little seat right where the tama can sit, that is where you want to catch it. Some people refer to this catch as frying pan. That is exactly what you want to do. Just pull up, make sure that you can land it and that the hole is facing straight down.

From here what you are going to do is slide the ken back and then push up and slide the spike right inside the hole of the tama. The way you do this is it is a movement of moving out and then forward. What I like to do is have a little bit of pressure upward on the spike of the ken. That way when I pull back what will happen is the spike will catch the tama and start to tilt it up. As soon as feel that or notice it I push forward and get the spike in the hole of the tama.

Once you put that together you pull up, land it on like this, slide back, push forward into the spike, and that is Slipstick.
