Nightingale Kendama Trick
In this video, we’re going to be teaching you the trick known as Nightingale. It looks like this.

In order to do this trick you want to make sure that you know how to do the trick Bird. We went over that in a previous video, so make sure you check that out.

With this trick we’re going to be essentially doing the same trick as Bird, but we’re going to be doing it on the small cup. The difference is that you cannot balance the tama on the small cup with it straight up. You really want to make sure that you’re pointing the spike towards you when you are balancing it.

To start, just practice setting the ball on the small cup and just getting comfortable with the ball being on the small cup because it is a lot harder. Make sure you can move it around a little bit and get comfortable bending your knees with it.

To start off you’re going to keep the ken straight up and pull it. When you pull it up you do want to catch it with the ken up and then lean back in order to soften the landing for the ball. You can see that it just made the tama rest right in place perfectly.

To finish the trick you just want to bend your knees and pop it up, you’re going to slide the spike right underneath the tama. And that is how you do the trick Nightingale.
